I just booked a hotel room for our trip to Chicago in June. The total cost was under $350.00 for 4 nights! I’m so excited about where we’re staying because it was just a few weeks ago when we decided we were going and the next day, I randomly heard about Longman & Eagle Inn. Not only is this Inn located in the bustling neighborhood of Logan Square, the gastro pub style restaurant downstairs has earned a Michelin Star. Additionally the rooms at Longman & Eagle are aesthetically beautiful, “Casual yet considered.”
Designed by Cody Hudson, the inn features woodwork by Robert McAdams throughout, original art by artists including Stephen Eichorn, Cody Hudson and Virgil Wong. Aesthetically, the rooms are designed from a masculine perspective with raw materials like wood, brick and industrial styled accessories.
The room prices start at $75 per night and the most expensive room only reaching $200 per night. As for service, the inn runs on a European mentality without a concierge desk or hotel lobby but there are complimentary whiskey tokens for each overnight guest. Also, the toilets in each room are see-through so if there are two guests, you better be comfortable with each other. Lastly, the inn is located in Logan Square, which is apparently the Williamsburg of Chicago and sits across from the blue line subway, conveniently the direct line from the O’Hare airport. I can’t wait!

This place looks great- I plan on visiting my sister in the Gold Coast area in May….she and I may have to make a visit the the Logan Square area to check it out!
This is such a great place to stay. The rooms look so elegant and relaxing to the eye. The design, the furniture, and the decorations are so wonderful. The price is also worth it. The only thing that bothers me are the toilet rooms. Oh my, they are really very transparent. It would be good if you are staying there alone. Anyway, I still love it!
Are there really no curtains to cover it?
I agree! I really don’t think there are any privacy curtains. The hotel’s site warns guests about the toilets, mentioning that if you are rooming with another person you must be quite comfortable with each other.
