Maybe it’s the lingering recession that has caused the world to perceive life with an attitude that things are better than they really are or maybe it’s something entirely different. But I’m thinking that subliminally, our perspective and outlook in the future is transcending through fashion, interiors and lifestyle. A huge trend in all aspects of creative is the use of rose gold or hues that evoke rosieglow.

So much so that companies like Tiffany & Co. in honor of their 175 year anniversary as a renowned jeweler, have created a new metal. As stated by Tiffany, “Tiffany’s new RUBEDO™ metal, marries the richness of gold, the brilliance of silver and the warmth of copper.” I’ve tried it on, and it’s beautiful on the skin, so flattering. Rubedo™ has all the chic and elevated look of rose gold, but the obtainable price point for the young and trendy (recession proof, perhaps?).

The rose effect has made a dramatic appearance within interiors. Although, I’m not typically a fan of pink spaces, however these designs have a sense of elegance and glamour that raise level of maturity from a princess’s cupcake to a queen’s rose. People are staying home more often and place where warmth and comfort exists is necessary. I especially love how the rooms seem to capture the morning light and create a subtle glow throughout.
Aside from florals and jewelry, special events and weddings have an obvious connection to a rose color scheme. Special celebrations in life are centered around a time when we feel most optimistic and encourage a positive outlook. I especially love the look of the bridesmaids wearing several tones of rose.
