I’m very excited to announce that I will be starting a new job in June! I recently accepted an offer with Bergdorf Goodman in the Visual Department. My new position will be managing the visuals of Decorative Home and Cosmetics. Yes, you read that correctly. . DECORATIVE HOME – the 7th Floor!
I’m extactic as it were the Bergdorf Goodman Holiday Windows in 2004 that inspired me to move to New York City. The wealth in beauty and creativity captured in their windows are truly what drew me to a career in creative visual merchandising, along with the dream to follow in the footsteps of greats like Gene Moore, Tony Duquette and Andy Warhol. What better a position to tie together my career in creative visual merchandising and my love of interior design!?!
Now, I must admit that this move is bitter sweet. I will be leaving my current position in the creative department of Tiffany & Company. Working with Tiffany’s has taught me many wonderful things and has allowed me to hone my skills as a designer. I will miss the magic that the legendary company exudes and take with me, more than a few great pieces of jewelry.
Both companies are celebrating milestone anniversaries this year (T&Co. – 175 and BG – 111), so be on the look out for fabulous events and extraordinary designs! Onward and upward. . . 7 floors that is!
Me with my GIGANTIC card, 'prairie flowers' and Tiffany Tote! "Ride into the sunset all the way uptown. When in doubt let your horse do the thinkin'!"
A special thanks to my coworkers who are so amazing! They surprised me on Wednesday with a farewell party – horse inspired! No detail was left out with a race track made of brown sugar and World of Interiors magazines set inside a Tiffany & Co. Tote!
