A reader recently emailed about her upcoming trip to Paris asking for flea market advice and of course I was more than willing to discuss.  I really, truly love that city – like so many other people do, I know I’m not original in that.  But the emails brought on nostalgic thoughts of my nights along the seine and just moseying throughout the winding streets eating crepes or sitting at cafe people watching and drinking un cafe creme.

Tonight, amidst those wondering thoughts,  I found an article published in the New York Times Home section about an extremely enviable living situation, in Paris.  Please take a moment to drool with me.

Last year, this beautiful (of course) couple purchased a three-story, 1,600-square-foot house in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.  It was built in the 1800s as a haberdashery. and it cost a whopping $1.8 million.

“We were totally captivated,” said Mr. Carmignac. “It had a crazy charm and a beauty that left us breathless.”
